David Garbutt began his career in Television in 1979, working for KIVI in Boise, Idaho as a master control operator. After a short time there, he begain working in Master Control for KOIN-TV in Portland, Oregon. A year later, he transferred to the News Department where his love of covering the news was born. Within a short time, he discovered his interest in designing news vehicles to operate more efficiently and with greater effectiveness.
Over the years, he designed and built several of KOIN's news vehicles, including a 30-foot dual path satellite truck.

Working by yourself in news, you often have to get equipment to work in the field. This requires a resourceful and technical mindset.
David has been known as the "go-to guy" when it's necessary to get the remote on the air. His reputation as a skilled truck operator encouraged him to pursue starting his own satellite truck business.David's business goal is to provide great customer service, dependable outcomes and no hassle remotes. He feels his customers need to feel confident about the success of the satellite feed. The customer is entitled to a clean, organized, reliable truck.

In the spring of 2004, David saw his dream come true when his vehicle was one of three vehicles that Frontline showcased at the National Associations of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention in Las Vegas. David's design proved to be quite popular and many NAB attendees were impressed with the innovative use of space and equipment. Shortly after NAB, David and his truck "hit the ground running"following the death of President Ronald Reagan and subsequent memorial services.
As we look toward 2007, we're excited about our future and are so appreciative about the year we've had, and the more than 35 Valued Clients we've worked with.
